Vacation Bible School

HEROES

Join us on a visit to Bethany where your kids will learn about Bible Heroes who were kids just like them and how they made a big difference in small ways! This will be an exciting week of singing, playing games, creating crafts, discovering how to pray about everything, and learning about how we can all make a big difference by doing small things.

WHEN

Join us June 15 to June 19 from 6 to 8:00 in the evening. 

Programming will be available for children ages from 1 to 12. Children ages 1 to 3 must be accompanied by an adult.

Stations

Children will visit Bethany and follow their tour guide Noor as they learn about children who were Bible Heroes. They will sing along with the Bethany singers and travel in crews through the following stations:

  • Discovery House- Kids will interact with the day’s Action Point, and learn about the day’s Bible Hero.
  • Marketplace Craft Shop- Children will create fun momentos of their time at VBS that will remind them of the Action Points.
  • Milk and Honey Cafe- Kids will have fun making their own snacks at eating them. Fun, healthy foods like trail mix, pizza, etc. will be provided, making accommodations for allergies and diet choices.
  • Bethany Arena- Children will have a wonderful time playing interactive games that emphasize the day’s action point.
  • Oasis- Kids will drink refreshing water and learn about prayer, how to pray, and what to pray for, based on the theme of the day. They will also learn that just as an oasis renews and refreshes travelers as they journey, prayer refreshes and renews us as we journey through life. The concepts will be taught and reinforced with a playful activity, group prayer, and personal prayer.
  • Mission Project- This year we have the opportunity to support ADRA’s campaign “Every Child Everywhere In School”. Kids will learn about children around the world and the obstacles they have to overcome. We will be collecting an offering to help ADRA help kids around the world overcome some of these obstacles like access to clean water, food, and access to education.
